Card to Fit A Sketch

This "City Miss, Pedal Power" card I have made to fit the Sketch I have pictured further down posted thursday 13th May, from the Cardmaking & papercraft latest issue. I followed the sketch but twisted it a bit and advanced it a little which you will see. It's mainly the text to balance it out better, otheriwse would have looked rather bizarre and off balance too. used bits and pieces for this and found it a bit of a challenge. Really enjoyed making though and loed using this image.

CLP Sketch 25

Crafting Lifes Pieces

Recently I came across this Blog set up by Chelsea http://craftinglifespieces.blogspot.com and I was stuned by her cardmaking, style and use of materials and generally, just HER Work! From her Blog I then found she does Sketch Challenges and now I want to try some of them out and continue to follow her Blog and Her Sketches too.
Above is Sketch Challenge #25 which I am going to carry out once I have a base to use. For this I might just use my Painting Skills and paint a stamped image or I might just even be different to everyone else and do something else! Whatever I do do, keep your eye out......until then I urge that you all hop on over to Chelseas blog, very Inspirational.

Card & A Sketch

After having gone through a poorly stage for the past week I am now feeling more human and more like myself again. I have not crafted for over a week now and getting ready for some creative cardmaking. After purchasing the C&P Issue 79 I have decided to do the Sketch that is in it this month, Why? Because I like Sketches and the LO of this one is lovely and simple and is one to allow you to be very creative with and, I have just an idea for this (I think! it might jus change though). I might even try it 3 ways like they do in the Magazine itself! Keep your eyes out for my Make to fit the Sketch!

My DD is very much into cardmaking and happily sits with me in my craft space allowing me to help her make many a card. The above card is her most recent make. She has used some Beatrix Potter Images from the kit in LMC's recent issue and added on her own punched flowers and fabric flowers also. Such a delightful card she has made and one to remember once it has gone to its recipitant.

Sketchwith Alex Eaton C&P Magazine Issue 68

Challenging myself to following these Sketches found in the Cardmaking & Papercraft issues have been helping me a little with card ideas and using materials I ahve not yet used in my craft stash. This Sketch is from the current issue, issue 68! I ahve not yet come to follow the sketchbut will be doing so in the next week or two so, will post up my card make after having followed this sketch! Feel free to follow this if you have popped on over here and like to follow sketches. Very good for beginners to get the idea of making layouts for your cards and also very good for the advanced cardmaker too! AHve fun anayway!

Sketch a Card

Recently I have started to get into Sketches and using them to challenge myself for my cards! I find that these help my creativity and help me to use materials that friends have sent me in RAKS and even materials I would not normally use! This sketch above is the 2nd out of the Cardmaking & Papercrafting Magazine which they have started doing to get their readers challenging themselves with craft materials and LO (Layouts)! Below is my result...................
Used Butterfly Stamped images I received in Junes Image Swap, hosted over on the Crafts Beautiful forum! I thought that these would work perfectly well with the backing paper used, Basic Grey! Just gorgeous scrumptios papers these are! I added on a paper flower and stitched on some flower pink sequins with pearl beads and also some punched daisy flowers stitched on with more beads and sequins! Butterflies were painted with my WC! Close ups below...........................
