Fairytale

This "Fairytale" card has been made for someone dear and for someone whom likes her Fairies. I had this Caron Vinson Decoupgae Fairy cut out aaaaages ago and have kept meaning to do something with it. Finally, I made it into this card using one of the Papermania Capsule Collection Paper Stacks - Aqua and Red Hot! I embellished with paper flowers, paper roses, gems, ribbon and sequins and beads to finish it off! I am very happy with the finished card and look forward to hearing how much the recipitant likes it!

Card & A Sketch

After having gone through a poorly stage for the past week I am now feeling more human and more like myself again. I have not crafted for over a week now and getting ready for some creative cardmaking. After purchasing the C&P Issue 79 I have decided to do the Sketch that is in it this month, Why? Because I like Sketches and the LO of this one is lovely and simple and is one to allow you to be very creative with and, I have just an idea for this (I think! it might jus change though). I might even try it 3 ways like they do in the Magazine itself! Keep your eyes out for my Make to fit the Sketch!

My DD is very much into cardmaking and happily sits with me in my craft space allowing me to help her make many a card. The above card is her most recent make. She has used some Beatrix Potter Images from the kit in LMC's recent issue and added on her own punched flowers and fabric flowers also. Such a delightful card she has made and one to remember once it has gone to its recipitant.

Someone Special

This card was a joy to make, as I made this for a particular reason and for someone very dear and special to me! I have painted in a Rachelle Anne Miller Image from a stamp and used my greatest love of Rembrandt Watercolour paints to paint the Angel in with. I used my favourite colour Quinacridone Rose with some other complementary colours.

Finshed the card off with organza Ribbons, Paper Flowers bought from Crafty Ideas By Kaz, paper Rose and stitched on beads and sequins too, these always finish a card off for me no matter what. I used the Papermania Red Hot Capsule Collection of papers on this card.

Special to Me...

These last few days I have not been very well and due to it's condition it has affected my daily chores and routine. I have found even very hard to concentrate on crafting as well as anything else. But, thankfully yesterday, late afternoon, I managed to make one creation; a wallhanging! I have been meaning to make a little something special for a dear friend of mine who's been through a lot recently and not been well so, I bought this beautiful Old Bear Decoupage as this dear friend loves her Bears, and I have adhered onto some Red Hot Papermania Capsule Collection Paper.
I finished off with embellishing the wallhanging with Paper Flowers, Paper Roses,Satin ribbons, and sticky back gems and, also my own sentiment which was adhered with foam squares for dimension to help balance out the whole design.

Below, shows the back of the wallhanging using the same materials as on the front to complete.
I really enjoyed aking this wallhanging and it took my mind off being poorly. I had planned to craft part of the day but, I really could not concentrate with the problem that I have. Hopefully, once completely better i'll be making up for my lost out crafting!

Glass Painting Card Challenge

This challenge is slightly different and will hopefully get your creativity flowing!

It is linked in to the questionnaire the I have been doing for the company that I work for as we are considering expanding into the craft market. The only thing is we mainly sell fine art materials, not so much craft materials. The closest we have to a 'craft product' is the Decorfin Glass and Relief Paints (there are also a few others on the page that the link goes to).

Before we do some advertising in CB, we want to see what the general reaction is to the glass paint, and what kind of card makes you will come up with. What makes this challenge different is that the company that supplies us -Royal Talens has provided the glass paints, relief paint and a brush, and we will cover the postage.

So the challenge is to make 2 cards,

One being a glass painted topper, that can be set on a card if you wish to demonstrate how it could be used, but the marks will only be to the topper itself.

One having a wedding theme, using the glass and relief paints along with what ever you feel inspired to.

The only thing that must be done is to combine the glass paint together with the relief paint. This can be done on any surface or background that you feel lead to, as it is very versatile and will go onto any surface. Just be sure to take your time and read the leaflet that will be enclosed and visit our company blog for tips on how to use it if it is new to you. There is also examples of work on the blog too.

The colours we will provide are Fuchsia, Turquoise, Violet and a gold relief paint.

The closing date for this challenge is Friday 11th June 8pm.

Could you please either e-mail me at natalie@trinity4arts.co.uk or Upload your entries to the Glass Painted Challnege thread over on the Crafts Beautiful Forum please. http://http://www.crafts-beautiful.com/index.php/forums/viewthread/29539/P15/ Thank you!

If you are interested all you need to do is go to our site register and order the challenge glass and relief paint from the link below, (you wont be charged it is only so that we have your details). If you don't want to do it this way just PM me! Finally we only ask that you fill in a short questionnaire that we will email you (if you have already answered one that's great!)
