Bird Bookmark

I am hosting a Bookmark Swap this July over on the Cb Forum (Crafts Beautiful) and the theme for this months swap is "Birds"! Any type of Bird can used and, I used my favourite stamp, my Peacock (I got this beauty from Angel Crafts.biz). I stamped and embossed the image in gold embossing powder and used two patterned papers and some new organza ribbon, bought from Josy Rose. Curved the edges to finish off and soften and, embellished with a punched daisy flower and beads and sequins to add interest! Now, I just hope that the receiver of this LOVES it!

June Bookmark Swap

Below is my Bookmark creation for the June Swap with the theme of Love! The lovely Magz (maggief2) was the lucky lady to have this bookmark! Delighted to know who has it though! Been wondering who was going to get it.

I used some wrapping paper for this along with some brown scrapbooking paper and place on both sides of all the hearts. I used punched out butterlies and hearts and, created them to be 2 dimensional by attaching with sticky foam pads. These I had made a repitition of all over the entire bookmark and glued on a flower sequin to each butterfly and heart just to add that little bit of subtle sparkle! I then finished off with piercing a hole through the top of the top heart and tied with pink satin ribbon.

As you will have seen already on the forum, this is my very First Bookmark made in my life. I really enjoyed making this and seeing the dimensions appear as created it using patterned 12x12 papers, variety of ribbons (in thickness width and finish), titching on transparent floral sequins with tiny green beads, punched daisy flowers (raised with foam pads and punched out patterned butterflies! I had drawn out a template of a shape using spare patterned paper then cut out two pieces of card using the template. I then cut out my chosen paper and stuck down with double sided tape. then took my small heart punch and punched a heart out on both pieces to leave a heart hole. I stuck the two pieces together using double sided tape again after I added on all my detail mentioned in the beginning of my process. Go on have a go.....it's Great Fun Ladies.
