Fairy Dust Card

Just the other night after making my mothers day card 2, I made this Fairy decoupag card for no reason at all. I adored this image and couldn't find the right paper bakground for it till I sat it against this wrapping paper I bought from our Spar! I didn't make this for any particular occassion but, wanted some text on it so wrote on it "Fairy Dust" soon to realise that the cupped transparent sequins represented the dust! I really enjoyed making this card.

My Kids

The other day I took the camera upstairs to take some photos of my two delightfull angels for sending on to family and friends and also, forphotos frames and albums! I managed to get some great pics of Josh & Ava together, thankfully smiling! And, thought I would share an update of their growth!
Above is my little girl Ava Brooke! Soon almost 1 years old, on 21st march! We are Inviting family over to her Afternoon Tea Party where there will be lots of cakes and yummy food and best of all lots of loving family to share it with her. This wwas taken 2 days ago and was our time together with her brother before they had to go to nursery.

Above is Josh Douglas Alistair aged 3 years and 11 months, soon turning 4 n 27tyh April! Where's the time flown???? I can remeber when he was just a baby and it is so very hard to look at him now and back then and think, is it the same person???? is it really???? Gosh! Wahat big boy he is now and just so adoreable too. My first baby and always will be my baby no matter how old he is! He has his mind on one thing, his stomach, and here he holds and sucks onto his lollipop aftepre-school!

And here they both are together above. What a lovely brother and sister they are to each other! Never seen anything so precious as this in my lifetime! Love you both Joh and Ava, always

Mothers Day Card 2

Just a couple of nights ago - which was a very late night crafting - I made this second Mothers Day Card. I used the same ribbon technique that I used for my first MDC and allowed my creative mind to work with itself and play around as I made the card! I did not have a clue what I wanted to do, just knew that I wanted to use these papers and the ribbon technique again! I used some gorgeous pink buttons which I received in an order a nuber of weeks ao! The ribbon technique did take some patience and time but, it's well worth the time and effort as it very effective! Just hope that whicheve Mum receives this will like it! Thanks for looking!

Mothers Day Card

I thought I would get ahead of myself with making my Mothers Day Cards for Sunday 22nd March! At the bottom of this post there's a picture of a card that I was completrely inspired by in the most recent issue of Papercraft Inspirations (issue 58). I was drawn by the method of the rbbon used and I just had tohave a go! So, this is what I came up with, with some free papers that came with the Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine issue 63! I used buttons for around the sentiment instead and missed out using some stms for the ribbon flowers! I thoroughly enjyed making this and want to make some others using other materials and patterns.

RAKs

This morning I received my February Card swap from Pinkpuppy over on the Crafts BEautiful forum. The theme for this swap is Spring! I was more than surprised with this most delicate and beautiful card made by Louise! Also, she far too kindly sent me a lovely range of decoupage papers and patterned papers too. Thank you very much Louise my dear friend.

Just the other day I got the most lovely surprise of all in aaaaaaages! I received this delihtfully pretty ATC from Jules (Devonbunny) over on the Crafts Beautiful forum! I was smiling so much with the thoughtfullness she sent on from her home in Devon. Such a pretty and cute image with a lovely range of colouyrs! Thank you very much Jules darlin, this was most kind of you!

Valentines Day and Cards

This card I made especially for someone in particular, over on the Crafts Beautiful forum,ad ear friend of mine! I used this decoupage design and made a wintry style card using floral vellum to allow the fairy to really stand out on the card! I atached the vellum by stitching on sequins and beads using silver metallic thread all the way round the card to frame the overall design! Now, I just hope she likes it when she receives it soon.

I made this card using a decoupage design I fell in love with straight away. I have attached to some light brown patterned paper to border off from the pink swirls paper on the background to balance off the colurs and, added on two flowers to finish!

Valentines Day!! Well, what can I say! I guessed right.....I got my Stargazer Lilys and I got the most beautiful loving card with a love story in it and not only these but, I also got a massive bar of Toblerone to enjoy (which I have started may I add) and a lovely bottle of white wine which we both indulged in - as well as the Cava I gave my darling husband for Valentines - while we had our Indian take away and watched telly!
It took three phone calls to 3 different indian take aways to order something who were actually doing take aways and deliveries too. Such a busy night is Valentines! Our dinner was most enjoyable. Had two glasses of white wine and 2 glasses of Cava and I was zonked out once in my bed! What afab night we had!
